DDSŽ AND DDSŽ-1 L. ACIDOPHILUS

DDS®-1 L. acidophilus has been extensively researched at the University of Nebraska and several research papers have been published showing the health benefits of DDS®-1 L. acidophilus.

DDS®-1 L. acidophilus was never commercially manufactured and available to the consumer until Dr. S. K. Dash, President of UAS Laboratories, manufactured DDS®-1 L. acidophilus in 1979 and offered it to the public as DDS®-Acidophilus Capsules, Tablets and Powder. Later he manufactured and sold DDS®-Junior and DDS®-Plus using DDS®-1 L. acidophilus, B. longum, B. lactis and Fructooligosaccharides (FOS).

UAS Laboratories has worked with consultants from the University of Nebraska in the sales and promotion of its DDS® acidophilus products containing DDS®-1 L. acidophilus.

Dr. Lance Peterson at the VA Hospital of Minneapolis, Dr. Keith Sehnert, Medical Practitioner of Minneapolis, Dr. Betty Kamen, researcher, writer and speaker, and Dr. Debasis Bagchi, of Creighton University of Omaha, Nebraska have worked with UAS Laboratory founder and president Dr. S. K. Dash in research, development, promotion and sales of DDS®-Acidophilus product line in the USA and abroad.

UAS Laboratories is the owner of the US Trademark – DDS®. UAS Laboratories uses this DDS® trademark and other variants like DDS® -1, DDS® - 30, DDS® - 60, and DDS® - 100. Any individual or firm using DDS® or confusingly similar marks without written authorization of UAS Laboratories is in violation of United States trademark laws.

Dr. Dash/UAS Labs was the first to introduce non-dairy probiotics.
Dr. Dash was the first to introduce quality control standards for probiotics requiring guarantee of viable bacteria (CFU/g).
Dr. Dash/UAS Labs was the first to package probiotics with nitrogen to improve the stability of the probiotics.
Dr. Dash/UAS Labs was the first to prove that the DDS® brand of DDS®-1 acidophilus can pass through stomach acid, implant in the intestines and multiply 100-200 fold.
Dr. Dash/UAS Labs was the first to incorporate prebiotic Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) with probiotics to enhance its growth in intestines.
